ACTION for Trade launched the coalition at the U.S. Capitol building with an event that featured encouraging words from Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Congressman Scott Peters (D-CA), and Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA). The Executive Director of ACTION for Trade, Brian Pomper, and the CEOs of three member organizations — Steve Ubl of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, Jim Greenwood of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, and Cary Sherman of the Recording Industry Association of America — also addressed attendees, including congressional staff, members of the press, and representatives from trade associations, companies, think tanks, and other organizations.
